Terms, privacy and refunds

Draft terms. The final terms, with the company's registered details, will be here before sales open.

Licence terms

BassPlane is made by Pixelwarp Studios [registered company name, company number, registered office address and where it is registered]. Buying it gives you a licence to use it, not ownership of the software.

BassPlane is provided as it is. We fix faults we are told about as well as we can, but we do not promise it is free of faults or fit for a particular event. Test your set-up before a show. To the extent the law allows, Pixelwarp Studios is not liable for lost income, lost bookings or other indirect loss, and its total liability is limited to what you paid for the licence. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

Designs can flash with the beat. You are responsible for how you use them in front of an audience.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you buy as a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.

Privacy

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes the technical data any web server sees, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser also contacts Google when it opens a page.

Purchases are handled by Polar, the reseller of BassPlane and the seller on your receipt. Polar and its payment provider collect what is needed to take payment and charge the right tax: your name, email address, country and payment details. Pixelwarp Studios never sees your card details. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, and keep them to deliver your licence, give support and meet our accounting duties.

The BassPlane app itself sends nothing about you, your shows, your files or what you project.

If you write to us, we keep the conversation for as long as it is useful for supporting you. You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to t.papp@pixelwarpstudios.com.

Pixelwarp Studios is the controller of that data under UK data protection law. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Refunds

If BassPlane is not right for you, write to t.papp@pixelwarpstudios.com within 14 days of buying it and we will refund you. The refund is paid back through Polar to the payment method you used, and the licence key stops working. This is in addition to any right to cancel that the law gives you.

If something does not work on your computer, tell us first. Often it is a setting or a driver, and we would like to fix it.
